Junior Industrial Designer

 

Simon You is a Junior Industrial Designer at Interwoven Design Group with a hands-on approach to soft goods and functional prototypes. He specializes in patternmaking, sewing, and physical construction, translating early design ideas into well-executed models and mockups.
A 2024 graduate of Pratt Institute’s Industrial Design program, Simon’s background includes service in the Korean military as a reconnaissance soldier, an experience that instilled discipline, precision, and a focus on the details that make systems work.
At Interwoven, Simon supports projects across soft goods and wearable technology by building prototypes, producing technical documentation, and contributing to design presentations. His work ensures concepts are not only envisioned, but rigorously tested and brought to life with clarity and craft.
